This is off topic...if you'll allow the following question:

You posted a message last year regarding Bishop Ferrell's installation in Dallas.

I don't believe that anything positive regarding the Traditional Latin Mass has transpired in Dallas during the past year.

Do you have any information regarding Bishop Ferrell's stance on the TLM?

Thank you.

As of now I have no direct idea of his stance. However, based on his actions (or lack thereof), I get the feeling he is not fond of the TLM or Latin in general. So far, I really don't get the feeling he is very concerned with liturgy in this diocese. There's been some minor improvements at the cathedral Masses (but they were so horrid before he got here that any improvement would be easy), but I haven't seen any improvements in parish liturgies around the diocese since his installation.
I can try and be charitable and just say he is really focused on getting the priest sex scandals of the diocese taken care of, and he's trying to raise money for the diocese.
However, I really can't get much of a feel for what the bishop thinks about the TLM or liturgy in general.

Thank you for your reply. I agree that I haven't observed any improvements in liturgy (at least at parishes that I've visited) throughout the liturgy.

My conversation with the Chancery a couple of months ago was a waste of time.

Same old story...I was made to feel that I wasted their time discussing the TLM.

I am frustrated.

Summorum Pontificum is a dead letter in Dallas.
