The Countries of the World

Monday Levity.

Here's a frustrating little game: Can you name the 192 countries in the United Nations. The difficulty is that sometimes you'll think of coutries, but they are not in the UN. You have 10 minutes (spelling counts).

192 UN Member States in 10 minutes

If you need help you might find some hints from Wakko Warner in this amazing song:

Think that is impressive, the guy who does Wakko's voice, Rob Paulsen (who also did Pinky in Pinky and the Brain, and Raphael on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, can still do the song in one take. Hmmm, this would be a great homeschooler project [hint, hint].

There are a couple of other good 1s from Pinky & the Brain as well as Animaniacs. The Animaniacs did the state capitals & The Presidents (It ends with the presidency of the Clintons). The Brain did the parts of the brain (natch).

I loved the songs, and as a college student I used to watch Animaniacs every day and even bought the CD which had the Country song and the States & Captials songs. There are several other good songs. I like the song "Yakko's Universe" and "The Planets."
Animaniacs was certainly one of the more intelligent cartoons since ... well, the original Warner Bros. cartoons.
I mean, watching the cartoon about "The Agony and the Ecstacy" with Charlton Heston as Michaelangelo but dressed as Ben Hur was great.

I agree, they were great. & Pinky & the Brain held up as well (until the last season when they added Elmyra).

My favorite was when P & tB did "The 3rd Mouse" thus proving the Brain was in part based on Orson Welles.

These cartoons were definitely not aimed toward Children any more that the original ones were. You had to know something about classic movies etc. They were aimed towards adults but could be enjoyed by children.
