Easter with a Texas Accent

Steaks

Alcohol

Tobacco

Firearms

So after a completely hectic yet reverent Triduum, I was able to go over to TheEngineer's house and spend Easter dinner with his family. It was definitely a solemn celebration:
It was great company, and we had some thick, juicy, grilled steaks, with a nice glass of red wine; shot pellet guns, and finished off with a cigar.

Gaudete, Dominus Resurrexit, Alleluia!

You gotta love Texas!

It was a very enjoyable finish to an intense Holy Week.

So, now it's time for this sacristan to get some rest.

Bravo Zulu on another Holy Week in the can! This being the first one in five years I wasn't burning midnight oil (I've moved), I am insanely jealous...but I don't miss the long nights.

We had ham and no firearms, but this is Oklahoma. That won't be the same situation next year.

What a great time to not be Muslim!!

That's a glass of wine in that picture.
There's beer in Texas, right?

Lemme see ... you gotta gun in one of those pictures. Didja shoot that bear?

Sure, there's beer in Texas... and wine.

That looked like a RWS Diana 48 side-cocking pellet gun.

Could be, dadwithnoisykids.
Although the one I used had a SWAT team scope on it.

Father, of course I didn't shoot it.
It's not a bear ... it's a grizzly, the mascot of The Roman Sacristan blog. :)
